If you are preparing for the 2016 HiSET test, you should make sure get this version (the second edition) instead of the first edition. HiSET tests have changed for 2016 and this version has the most up-to-date material to prep for the test. Included in this version are updated prompts for the evidence-based essay for the Writing section and an updated formula page and material for the Math test including Sin, Cosine, and Tangent.
We are using these HiSET guidebooks to help our students prepare for the official test. Each section is easy to use. The instructions are clear and address specific topics that may be in the test. Students feel better prepared and find the level of difficulty lines up with the tests.
I have both editions and the FACT is there are very FEW revisions in the 2nd edition despite the fact that many veteran practitioners pointed out just how deficient this book is. GOOG the Montana letters to ETS before you waste your $$$.
Great study guide to prepare for the HiSet!

Very helpful for teaching writing students. HiSet differs markedly from the GED test rubrics, and this text sets out those differences nicely.
