Bought this title to help my son and his friend prepare for the test next month. It seems to be a thorough but poorly put together presentation. We've found multiple typos including typos that effect the answer of problems (giving the value x.xx x 10^-7 instead of the x.xx x 10^-11 as a "note" in a problem).The larger problem is that on the Physics SAT II, calculators are NOT allowed but MANY of these problems are ridiculous to solver without a calculator. (the previously mentioned problem involved multiplying 6.67 and 6.43, then dividing by 3.3^2 then dividing the result by 9.8). REALLY??? by hand??? come on...So, overall. Decent presentation but, it feels like they raided a physics text for practice problems without really thinking about how the SAT is structured.disappointing.
This book has two major problems-it has many errors and is not tailored to the subject test. The authors seem unaware that you are not given a calculator on the exam, because many of the problems involve calculations you cannot do by hand (like sin16). Also, there is an entire section on fluid mechanics, a topic not even tested on the exam. Worst of all, the book is full of errors-constants given incorrectly, wavelength measured in Hz, and forgetting to include key information in the problems. Do not buy this book.
