My daughter raised her SAT score in Math considerably (about 80 points) after going through this book. She thought it was very helpful. Her problem was that since she had taken Algebra in 8th grade and Geometry in 9th, she had forgotten some basic things that the SAT tests in Math. It also helped her in some advanced areas. My wife helped her a bit (she's an economist w/ big math skills) and she also liked the book.
I got these for my 17yo son and with the help of his books and Dr. Steve, he want from 550 to 720. College is expensive, not getting into the right one even more so...these books are worth every penny.At the end of the day you get out of it what you put in so that is an important component but these books provide your kid with foundational expertise, structured thought and practice that is invaluable.
As a student facing the SATs, I found this very informative. I like how Dr. Warner, discusses methods to use that can be applied to all problems which opens the opportunity open for scoring higher. I really enjoy the multiple ways he solves problems, which reinforces the idea of how much of a variety there is to solve a math problem. I highly recommend his books for math SAT prep!
My daughter took the PSAT in her sophomore year and her math score was 69, so she was anticipating a projected math score on the SAT of 690. She is a strong math student who had taken Algebra and Geometry in middle school, and Algebra 2 as a freshman. By junior year she was in AP Calculus BC. She knew she was capable of a higher score but needed focused review to refresh the concepts tested on the PSAT and SAT and to help her practice to avoid mistakes. This book turned out to be the perfect choice. She worked through the lessons and took the PSAT as a junior, scoring a 76 on the math section. She then took the SAT in December 2013 and scored a 740 in math, missing just 2 questions. We definitely recommend this book!
The book I'm reviewing today is the 28 SAT Math lessons for advanced students. This is a self-contained book, meaning that you have everything you need here to get that score up to a 700 and beyond to an 800, if that's what your goal is. So, if you're aiming for close to that 800 score, how will this book help you? To start, Dr. Warner introduces you to an extra layer of challenge in what he calls Level 6 questions. These are more difficult than anything you will find on your real SAT exams, which have Level 1 through Level 5 questions. Not only are Level 6 questions the kind of killer questions which will hone your skills, numerous solutions are provided for each of these, so that you can sharpen your Math instincts to perfection. On top of this, Level 6 questions are modeled after real SAT Math questions; they're just harder.Use the Strategy PDF Guide which will match Dr. Warner's unique strategies with questions from the 2nd Edition of the Official SAT study guide(blue book). Subject Levels are Algebra and Functions, Geometry, Number Theory, Statistics/Probability and Logic/Sets. There is also a Supplemental Section complete with extra practice questions and solutions. You won't be lacking for practice opportunities with this book. This prep guide is loaded.Each chapter starts out with a description of the strategy used along with examples of how the strategy works on a particular topic level eg. Algebra/Functions. For example, Chapter One starts out with a description of the strategy of when to start with choice (c) and then showcases Level 1-5 Number Theory questions where you can safely use this strategy. This chapter also tells you when NOT to start with choice (c) first. With later chapters, you will find that this strategy may also be used with other types of questions. In fact, Dr. Warner tells us there are four main strategies you can use on the SAT Math for any topic and any difficulty level. It's worth checking out. It completely blew me away how Dr. Warner explains the material. After using his book for a month or so, I took my SAT on June 4. My score increased 70 POINTS!!! I would recommend this book to anyone. I even gave it to a friend after using it. Good Luck all!!!
This book is designed for advanced SAT Math students who want to boost their scores from around 600 up to 800. Twenty-eight strategies are taught throughout the book to help students handle questions in the simplest and shortest time possible. There are plenty of worked examples showing both the strategy technique and the normal school method of solving the problem. Problems are divided into different levels of difficulty, with very clearly explained solutions. There are lots of practice exercises, extra exam tips, and other useful information.This is a great self-study book for advanced students who want to improve their scores in the month before the SAT's, but it would also be a really useful book for tutors as well. To be able to improve your SAT score with just one month of good practice makes the purchase of this book money well-spent. If you want to boost your confidence in Math, along with your SAT Math score, then this is the book for you.

One wrong only!She received a full scholarship to the University of Miami and is currently a freshman.She took the SAT after studying the book for 7 weeks. She divided the book's lessons per week and would do2 SAT practice math test a week. She worked hard and it payed off.Now, it's my son's turn and he needs more help.
