I have used the earlier editions of this book for several years. This new edition is a significant improvement. It goes beyond the major cultural groups in the United States and gives a global view of communication disorders intervention and treatment in cultural groups around the world. The new authors include scholars from around the world including Australia, Malta, Brazil. Given that the profession is more global and international, this textbook is unique and a welcome addition to the available literature. Of particular importance is the chapter on voice disorders and also the chapters on language development and indigenous groups because of their global focus. The chapter on global issues in hearing impairment is quite comprehensive and authoritative. References and resources are up to date. It is nicely written and the cover design in striking.

No complaints great condition there was some highlighting from previous owners but otherwise nothing too out of the ordinary wear and tear

This book was over priced and did not mention anything that couldn't be found online. I bought this for a class and never opened it..not even once.
