Great for anyone planning to visit Southwest to view native cacti. Not a gardening book, so do not expect growing information. If you love the desert, just 5 minutes of reading this book over coffee takes you there....

This book is filled with pictures and good descriptions of the various cacti. What is nice is that it also gives some general info on where it is found and what elevation you will find it. The book is a little big to fit in your back pocket but the paper used is heavy stock and will not show wear and tear. High quality pictures. Glad I bought it.

I moved to Tucson from Salt Lake City, Utah a few years ago and was dumped into the "Cactus Capitol of the World", or so it seemed. I had never lived where there were so many Cactus plants, so I decided I needed to learn about at least the most common ones. This was a great book on Cactus of Southern Arizona in particular.......

Even though this is a small book it sure does cover the cactus in my area. I like the way it breaks the cactus into groups.

Book was as promisedThank you very much.

Excellent and useful.

great
