The author did a great job in making this very understandable, even though the subject matter is extremely complex. He hits the key components of each chapter and highlights main areas of study, as well as offering good graphic representations. Excellent textbook.
The book was sent and received before the expected time and it was in very good condition. The book itself does a good job of explaining how the ocean works, information about the Earth and it's oceans, and it gives the information not in a boring way.
It very organized and dense with information. It's easy to read and follow. It's not overly technical. Great illustrations to help you visualized ideas and concepts. I got a new book and it came with and access code to use online at the publishers website. I can download prewritten outlines/notes by chapter. Interactive flashcards to help study vocabulary. Practice tests are also available online
Pretty pictures, detailed explanations... makes me feel like I understand the oceans a lot better. I like the author's voice, too... it has a hint of awe and a touch of wonderment.
Bought it for class, didn't read it much. The parts I did read were pretty interesting though. Quality book.
Got exactly the book I needed with the online access. Arrival time was superb. Received just in time for start of class. I'm a very satisfied customer.
The quality was poor. The book content was excellent. The pages were extremely thin and it looked like a knock off. I was disappointed but it certainly works if the goal is to save money but I suggest to order extra early.
As expected- saved A LOT over college prices!!!!! AND even though it was used and did not specify- It had the sealed online disc!!!!
