This book is very interesting - Luther Burbank developed several (60 or so) spineless cactus hybrids for various purposes around the 1920's, none of which became commercial successes. This book details the author's project of finding all of the various Luther Burbank cacti which are only found primarily in back yards and gardens in California. I was looking for more information on these - this book is the reference on the current state of these hybrids. Not for everyone, this is not a field guide to cacti, look elsewhere. Luther Burbank would be proud to know this book exists were he alive today.
