Some of the good reviews here are from people who don't quite use this as a journal/diary. I don't recommend this if you, like me, write actual diary/journal entries - not just notes, blurbs, doodles, and sketches. The small size is uncomfortable and took some getting used to. The lines are narrow, so hanging parts of letters (lowercase "y", "g", and such) take up space on the lines below them. This is not very suitable for real journal writing and should not be described as a journal or diary.
Pretty! Elegant! Stylish!I have for years....written....scribbled....drawn....and doodle in small lined notebooks such as this one. They are without a doubt part of my life. My momma started all of us girl out writing things down for she did so herself. So on I go...writing..I love pretty things and this book and it's lovely cover of many colors of hydrangeas makes me feel special. The flowers have just a very taste-full bit of silver added to give the cover a bit of glitziness. LIKE!Inside is 160 lined pages to put my thoughts on. The first thing that will be 'stuck' into it will be a wee heart with a blue bird taped on it, colored in crayon from my little granddaughter. These books are truly treasure books.There is a coordinated dark blue piece of elastic that will encircle the book to keep it closed or position to keep it at your place. I like mine closed. There is a bit of enjoyment I have thumbing thru to find my place.The pages are a good weight and ink does not leek thru to the other side. I have the matching ink pin in white with the same beautiful hydrangeas on it. It is also elegant....like the older type of pens with a real snap on-cap, smooth flowing ink. The pin actually is contured as the older ones were, where your fingers have a smaller area to grip. Makes me want to write and write. The two items would make a marvelous gift.It is true. ... There are always flowers for those who want to see them. You will enjoy the ink-pin and the journal for yourself or as a gift for some one special.I received this product as a gift in exchange for an honest review.
Very pretty journal..just as described. Love these pretty books for keeping notes and writing down things I don't want to forget. And I keep some on hand because they make such great gifts..Also bought more calligraphy pens so I can use those and make my memories look nicer..These pens always kick up your writings..even if you are not an expert. I'm not. Your writing looks so neat..
This journal looks even better in person, it is beautiful! However I did think that it would be slightly bigger, but I am still happy with my purchase.
This is such a beautiful diary. I am trying to keep it to write stuff in it about my daughter as she grows up. I hope she loves it.
