I havn't read one book by the Warrens yet that I don't enjoy! This book definantly had me spooked! Ed and Lorraine Warren are/were (Ed is with God) demonologists, so naturally everything paranormal is going to be a demonic infestation to them. I can see where they might get the impression about the demonic on the hauntings they talked about in this book, but they even included a way to make the big hairy man shaped creature, better known as bigfoot, a demonic force.I would not read this one if I had to sleep alone at night! No matter what you believe this book will give you the creeps! I read these kind of books to get scared, and I'm pleased to say this one did the job. As I write this I keep looking behind me. Of course nothings there, but this just goes to show how creeped out I am!Ed and Lorraine Warren are better known for their works with popular hauntings such as The Amityville Horror, The Haunted, and also for giving lectures at Universities all over the country on the paranormal. This book is about some of their most memorable cases.
Ghost Hunters by Ed and Lorraine Warren is a fascinating exploration of various cases that been brought in on. From a haunted village to a teen who messed with a Ouija board to a disturbed young man who found the touch of a woman rather cold, we get to explore some interesting supernatural settings here and see how the Warrens responded to them. Anyone who wants to know more bout the Warrens and the cases they investigate should check out this book.
This is the first horror book I read that really scared me. Very interesting and spooky! I was lucky enough to hear Ed and Lorraine speak at a high school a few years ago- they were great. If you never get to meet them (or even if you do) read this book, it's worth it!
I have to say that this book was enlightening, informational, interesting and captivating all at the same time. I have always loved the Warrens, and am so happy to be reading their book series. On to volume 3.
I read this book over 15 years ago. I couldn't finish it. It scared me too much. I lived in a haunted house when I was young and it brought back too many scary memories. If the metaphyical is your cup of tea I recommend this book. I'm looking to buy it again so I can try to finish it this time........
I love reading the case files of Ed & Lorraine Warren! The first one I read was "The Demonologist", which I had years ago when I was in school. I was fascinated with the tales in there and it was where I was first introduced to "Annabelle."These new editions are much better than the versions I had in the past, with cleaner print, easier on the eyes. Several have photos that are much more clear than some of the previous editions.I am so glad these books are back in print, and in a pleasant, matching collection. Be sure to get all of them, and be ready for many chilling nights reading the spooky stories that will give you lots of restless sleep. :)
As a long time fan of Ed and Lorraine Warren, I have come to expect several things from reading their books. Undeniable proof there is forces at work beyond our ever understanding in this world. And an affirmation that faith in The Lord will bring us through many things. GHOST HUNTERS provide several examples of their work and belief. Written perfectly in story telling design it answers many questions while transporting you into a world of mystery.
I'm not sure how much of the stuff that is written that i believe but it's still very interesting. I go into the book with an open mind and i believe anything is possible but i still have some skepticism. However the Warrens have lived a very interesting life and im eager to find out more about their adventures
