I'm using this book for an advanced writing course at an international business school in South Korea for students who will be studying in the US. I wish this book was available for international export and at an affordable price.I love the essays in this book as well as the coverage of the kinds of essays students would normally write.
The tips included in the book are pretty decent for a beginning English class. I love the short stories and writings that range from serious and deeply personal to hysterical op ed types (think Mindy Kaling!). I groaned when I saw my professor had picked this for class, but I was pleasantly surprised when doing the reading. Overall, quality and entertaining for a textbook.
A wonderful collection. Peter Gerstenzang's My Education, Repossessed had me rolling on the floor.
