I gave it 3 stars because 2 stars means you don't like it and 3 means it is okay. The price is low and with some things you get what you pay for. I was going to gift this one for Christmas but after seeing it I changed my mind. The intro pages claim it is an adult coloring book then the next page has a simple folk-art type design with the "This Book Belongs To:" complete with the underline. I had those books when I was a child back in the 70's and do not care to write my name in any of my books as an adult, I already know who owns it, I DO! Now the cover makes you think there are going to be intricate designs, certainly geared more towards adults but that is not the case. There are several designs that are poorly drawn, thick black lines and some are just plain weird.It makes no sense because there are some designs in there that are beautiful and then when you go to the next page it is a goofball design. I put some of the deigns in this review to show you what I mean, and what others are complaining about as well. I am sure that we all would not mind paying more for a book full of these nicer designs, leave the goofball ones to children who think they are amusing. They are not worth wasting gel pen ink or markers or pencils for that matter. I HATE to waste ANYTHING at all and this book is one of those thing you must find another use for. I have grandchildren who LOVE to color and the fact that they are colring in an "adult" coloring book makes it all the more exciting for them (They are 5 and 7 years old) so when they come over I give them a choice of the goofball strange ones and I choose one and we color together, them with their crayons and me with my pens.
