I have bought several of their books and am never disappointed. It is so detailed but extremely easy to use. Perfect for beginner's bc the first thing you notice is the color and you go straight there and can begin narrowing down the correct one.
This is just what it says it is...a BEGINNER'S guide. Excellent photos. Great basic information.
This little book, like any Stokes book, is well organized, well illustrated and very informative. Ascacwildlife painter, I'm always on the hunt for good reference material and this book had just the information I needed. I especially like the size of this bookas it will be easy track for field trips
Great reference book. Just enough information on butterflies without going into a College level book. Gave it to my almost 80 year old mother to watch butterflies on her butterfly bush. She has had a great time matching all of the butterflies with their names.
This is a very helpful book for identifying Butterflies. It has excellent photos and very good information about the butterflies. I take pictures then use it to identify the species.
This is a wonderful book for beginners and pros in butterfly identification. It gives succinct information about each butterfly in an easily readable format.
Seems to be a great addition to my library of butterfly references. Not as much about caterpillar stages I would have liked but still a great reference.
