A really excellent pocket guide. I'm planning a birding trip to Ireland and this will be a great addition to my pack. It's just the right size for carrying as well as printed on good stock that a rainy day will not damage.
All I needed was a lightweight, water-resistant guide to identifying the common birds I saw in Ireland. This pamphlet-style foldout guide has very good depictions and descriptions and is plastic coated so you can have it in hand as you stand in the rain, a not-unlikely event if you're birding in Ireland. In-depth descriptions, habits, etc I can look up later. This is so handy!
We very much enjoyed our trip to Ireland with this guide! It allowed us to quickly identify birds as we snapped their photos. The depictions were colorful and accurate. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
So fun to have a little guide handy when I came across birds on our travels. Our whole party would check the guide, and none are bird watchers!
