The third volume of The Testament of Sister New Devil gets off to a fun and bawdy start when we are treated to a morning wake-up call as arranged by Maria. Basara asks "Why can't I ever wake up normally?" but probably many heterosexual male readers will be asking "why can't my mornings be like this?" The fun soon ends as Basara, Mio and Maria find themselves in a fight with a high powered demon. If that weren't enough, three old friends of Basara's from the heroes' village are in town and they say they have orders to kill Mio. A duel is set up and the volume ends on a cliffhanger as the two sides prepare to face off. The series remains a strong one; Basara can be admired as a warrior, a diplomat and as a protective brother. Maria is the mischievous scamp but is all serious when guarding Mio is the issue. Despite the strong front she puts up, Mio is a nervous young woman, unsure of her power and hoping she'll measure up at crunch time (this volume has strength charts for the characters). The Testament of Sister New Devil has proven to be a happy find in my manga reading this year.
Interesting series cant wait for more to come out. Also found the show on Crunchy roll . Cant wait to get more on this series. Books arrived when they said they would and showed up in great shape.
