My three-year-old son and I read this book together. I thought some of the vocabulary on the first page was a little over his head, but as we progressed in the book, he was engaged, anxious to turn the page and see what happened next. He even understood the flow chart toward the end, pointed to each of the sections in the chart saying what it was, including the chrysalis to my surprise. He also enjoyed the pictures.
