This is a nice coloring book , with 126 single page illustrations printed on the front and back of each page, markers do bleed through but with so many images, I don’t mind losing a few for coloring with markers.This book is filled with only Butterflies and Butterfly patterns; some simply detailed others intricately detailed and everything in between. The patterns vary from collages to individual butterflies; the art style varies from whimsical to realistic.1. This 11 “ x 8 ½” book boasts 63 pages with 126 single page illustrations, printed on the front and back of each page, on quality medium weight, bright white paper.2. Each page is perforated for easily removing a single page from this book.3. Color mediums:a. Alcohol based markers (Sharpies & Bic Mark it)bleed through this paperb. Water based markers, All have some shadowing on back of page.i. Triplus Fineliners in one layer had a bit of shadowing on the back of the pageii. TomBow ABT dual, the brush end produced shadowing on the back of the page and varied depending on the number of layers I colored.c. Colored pencils work well on this paper and some layering (with my Prisma soft core 8 layers)and blending is possible which will vary depending on the pencils you use.4. Details in each image vary, some are simplistic, some are intricately detailed and you will find everything in-between. Everyone will find patterns they want to color in this book.5. All of the illustrations have Butterflies as the theme.6. Miscellaneous:a. This book is going on my Arts and Crafts table for me to practicing and to teach my Grandchildren Layering and Blending techniques with both colored pencils and markers.b. This book has so many pictures with 127 total, that I am going to just choose the image I like best and let markers ruin the back image on some of these pictures.
