My 7 year old had to research her favorite animal, it's habitat, eating habits, etc. The book held her interest and contained a lot of information that she could use in her paper. The research project became enjoyable to her.

I purchased this book for my son, however, due to the new format for this book whereas the display is of side-by-side pages with a tap option to enlarge the print to a "normal" size my son is unable to read the book due to his reading disorder which requires him to enlarge the print greatly in order to read independently. He was very disappointed. This happened to 2 other books in the series as well. We do love Magic Tree House books and will continue to purchase as this new format is hit and miss within the series.

Although the book is for kids, I enjoyed this quick read full of I fun facts about the Earth's most adored and threatened animals. I also enjoyed reading about the courageous scientists who were first to study the behavior of chimps and gorillas in Africa and continue to work for conservation. Without being preachy, it includes some simple things we can all do to reduce our impact on our planet's resources.

I bought this book for my, then, 8 year old grandson, who had already read most of the Magic Treehouse series. He called the minute he received the package. He was so excited because he didn't know there were factual books to go along with the fictional books. He called me back a day later to tell me he had read all four books and loved them. He then asked for more for his birthday. I think his words are an excellent review for these books.

This little accompaniment provided so much information that my grandson shared with the family. He felt so important when he was so knowledgeable about the pandas.

This book, like all of the Magic Treehouse books is fantastic. For inquisitive young children who want to know more there is no better series that her fiction and nonfiction pairings.

I love love love love love love love love love love love love love love love love love pandas and I love to learn about endangered species.

The Author and family poor so much fun facts and adventure into the Magic tree house collention - wonderful for teachers and families.
