My husband, the card-playing geologist, wants to have the actual scientific name or formula for the rock shown. Personally I really like the pretty pictures, and I do learn from them, too.

I bought this for a friend's daughter since she loves all mineral rocks. The cards are very colorful and the size is just right. I wish the material is a little more thick and shiny. They can be used as playing cards which I like. Also, they're very educational.

I bought this as a gift for my daughter-in-law as a fun side gift. It should be fun for her as a geology major and educational for my grandson, too.

I go this for hubby. We own land in a state we're not familiar with so the indigineous flora and fauna. I wanted something to help identify the rocks and minerals on our land. They are actual pictures of the stones not illustrations. He's happy.

The cards are boxed nicely and appear to be of sturdy construction. Playing cards that teach something about rocks and minerals just seem like a great idea. I ordered several and will be giving some to my great grandchildren as stocking stuffers this Christmas.

If you have a budding rock hound or even if you don't, playing with these cards will give you an education in our natural world!! Fun and pretty!

I like the cards but would have enjoyed different specimens for every type of rock for the same number. They are not as durable as the nice air-ride cards from Bicycle. I think most any rockhound would get a kick out of them.

While the pictures are nice and colorful, the cards are very flimsy and paper like. Don't recommend at all. Was very disappointed in the quality. Too flimsy to actually play use.
