I purchase this book after spending a year on a sailboat in the Sea of Cortez. I wanted it to identify all the cool things I saw whiles snorkeling nearly every day. This book was exactly what I had hoped it would be. Well, done. The pictures are excellent!

This is a great reference for the sea life in the Sea of Cortez (Gulf of California). The photos are fairly accurate, but could be better. So far this is the best we've found over the years.

Not a bad book. When comparing this book to Reef Fish, the book is sub standard. Fish seem to be scattered around the book with no real sections. Its difficult for use when you're using a book to identify a fish that you don't know what it is. The photos for the most part are poor quality. Still, overall, the book does do the job!

The book is shorter in length than I expected and rather expensive for the size. However the pictures are all full color which is nice. Also, it is good for identifying creatures, but doesn't give a lot of information on the marine animals. Overall, it is a good book for identification of marine animals in the Sea of Cortez.

Received in timely manner. Looks like it will fit my needs just fine. Just looking for a book to reference while I am snorkling down there.

I fished the Sea of Cortez in May of 2013 (East Cape area), catching 11 small inshore species. I wanted a book that would help me identify what I had caught and photographed, but this was not it. Many of the species listed are not found in the shallow inshore areas, so would not often be caught by anglers. I guess a more-expensive book will be needed before my next trip to Baja. Also covers coral and other invertebrates.

I was going to go to Baja and the trip was canceled so I haven't fully reviewed the book, but I still like it and I am glad I purchased it.

Just what I needed to ID all the amazing creatures I was able to photograph during my recent dive trip to the Sea of Cortez!
