This was a wonderful read by the great Shaman Alberto Villoldo. I recommend it to anyone who is interested in shamanism or different forms of healing and those who are on the path themselves. Each chapters allows the reader to learn something and to come to a place of wisdom to reinforce balance and health in their lives. Absolutely wonderful book! Glad it is a part of my person library!
Put the words "miraculous healing" in a book title and... buyer beware, LOL. Seriously, it's marketing, not substance. Villoido has spent half his life trying to make himself famous. I thought he was a psychologist, as per all his previous books. Now he's a medical anthropologist? I'm sure he has had successful results as a healing facilitator (no one "heals"... by the way, and no human sap performs "miracles"... they facilitate healing), but he's had no more successful healing facilitations than any other healing practitioners out there worth their salt. IN FACT, the true successful ones are not the serial book producers hoping the next one will hit the bestsellers list. The difference here is ego-driven ambition, not "miraculous" skill, and if your response to my review is incredulousness, save your disbelief for this "shaman's" self-proclamations! It's laughable.
I am a long time fan of Alberto Villoldo! I feel that each sentence holds more than just the written words. The energy of the shaman reaches out. It's as though I have been along for the ride. In this book it was multi-pass with so many people. I received many insights into my own brig and body as well as those of clients. Cannot always say that about other books.
I honor Dr. Villoldo for all that he has shared with us. His beautiful books have led me down a beautiful healing path. This is one of my favorites so far. Hopefully, some day I will meet him. Anne Socha
