I am learning astrology and out of the many books I'm looking at and reading, I have found this book to one of the better ones for a semi-beginner. The presentation of the material is easy to read but better than that it is simple to grasp. Since astrology is such a deep subject with greater knowledge it is important to find the right tools to learn from. I really liked this book, I feel it really has helped me learning this subject, of course its not the end-all of astrology because astrology is so vast, but its a great refresher or beginning, the author knows how to spell also, some books out there even lack proper spelling in their work. I believe this is a great book for one's private library collection. Some of the astrology books out there are just window dressing with little information to help one learn about astrology so I am thankful to this writer and the presentation of this book. I bought this book and the astronomy 101, and i will definitely buy the others. This book is great for beginners a d those who just want a refresher. So far this is the best book about astrology when it comes to covering birth charts. Many books about astrology have some wrong information but everything in this book seems to be right and very general.

This book belongs in the trash can, I'm sorry. As someone who's studied astrology for over ten years, I was so disappointed when I mistakenly ordered this thinking it had something to offer. I will say this book has tons of lovely illustrations and compiled graphics, but lacks any true substance whatsoever. I would not recommend this book to anyone, especially a beginner! Very little information and what information it does have is shallow and sometimes untrue or misleading. So very disappointed that this book was even published! It's books like these that give astrology a BAD NAME!! :(
