This is the very first time I'm leaving a two-star rating for a book I purchased / read. (I purchased a hard copy from a local bookstore). I give it a low rating for a simple reason - a total lack of coherence and flow. This book seeks to build on the pattern established by 'The Secret', where disparate quotations from varied sources were presented, with brief explanatory bits in between. It worked in 'The Secret', mainly because there was a clear focus that ran through everything like a string thread holding it all together. But here it's a jumbled mess!Also, this book seems to put the emphasis on hardwork, determination, etc and jeers at an easy, relaxed, predominantly mind-based approach, which is what was highlighted in, you guessed it, Rhonda's own 'The Secret' and subsequently in her 'The Power'. Why this contradiction, Rhonda?
I have all of Rhonda Byrne's books & am having a really hard time getting into this one. It doesn't seem to flow as well as the others.
I loved The Secret so much that I can't wait to read any new work by Rhonda. This book, however, fell flat with me....I really felt like it was more of a copy and paste effort than any true thoughts and wisdom of the author. If you want a book of great quotes, this is it, but I would have preferred much more input from the author.

I still have miles to go, but every day I strive to do better, and BELIEVE. Two weeks after the SECRET, I found my home on the water, which I could afford! I wanted to go to Hawaii, then won a trip to the Hawaiian Islands! I just got my KITE BLUE Mini Cooper. I have the man of my dreams and our relationship is all I ever wanted and more! We travel everywhere now. I am not making this up.THANK YOU RHONDA! I have loved all your books! I always find the answer to the question I am asking when I just get out of my own way. This book reinforces what I know is the answer to all the questions I have been asking since I first read The Secret. If I just stop and listen, let go, believe, then the answer is there. It is in how I view what may seem to be a obstacle and the way I react that helps me to be a better person. My goal or desire can be a large or small one, just has to be mine not someone else's.This book brings such a confirmation of the answer to love and be grateful for all the things that you find on your path. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.
I am reading HERO now as a book app on my mobile device and it is already doing for me what all of Rhonda Byrne's works do for people... remind us why we are here, and boost our morale to carry on. I read all her books. I studied the teachers and books she studied. And I studied their teachers and the books they studied. I also studied Ekhart Tolle, who definitely has something important to offer as well. But I have to say something that I believe is profound. Rhonda already had it all in The Secret. All of the additional study including HERO as well as other schools of thought is a good thing because it is reinforcement of spiritual knowledge to help you with a spiritual practice. Tolle's main point is we need to stop thinking so much in order to clear the muddy water from our brain... yet again I have to say, Rhonda already told us that part too. Rhonda's original work was in fact complete. Rhonda certainly said, meditate to make room for the injection of positive thought, but above all, purposefully use positive thought to prevent and replace negative thought and become predominantly positive in both thinking and feeling and keep doing it until your brain accepts it and your heart feels it and keep doing it in thought, word and deed. Make it your practice as a way of life because you could have no higher calling, and yes be the HERO too! Be, do, have, give all to all for all, including the most magnificent one of all, that which is you; as you are one with everything! Rhonda is a HERO and so are you! We all are. She told us that in The Secret and HERO is yet another brilliant compliment. Start with gratitude; be grateful and all the other little things to help you along the HERO's path will appear as you carry on. Whether you call it the power of now, or the law of attraction or energy or love or the brain itself; Rhonda Byrne already had all of that in The Secret to start with. Thank you Rhonda for what you did and what you continue to do.
The Secret was a great book, but as Oprah said, it covers only one law, the law of attraction, which is incredibly important and something we can all work out creating around us. So I loved the Secret for that. The Secret Hero I can't finish because it seems like a watered down The Secret. It's spaced out with big print and you "follow the lives" of people who have utilized the law of attraction to use as examples of how you yourself can do it. I think it misses the mark because it doesn't give any real exercise, any real "way" to move forward with your own practice and use. At least it didn't by half way through. However, I'm pretty darned happy for the people in the book!
