One beauty of a book like this is ... it's transformative power. A pretty big claim, I consider it justified.It is often said that if you read Krishnamurti, and apply his teachings, you can change, transform. I think you may find this equally true in "Maitreya's Teachings." --- If you take to heart Maitreya's words, you will find them literally transformative. Money back, guaranteed ... .What I found was that the writer's, that is 'the "associate's" true meaning filtered through; communicating the essence of Maitreya's views. Interestingly, the teachings are both 'nothing new'- and completely life altering.It proved totally worth the effort; the 'staying with it'- as when reading Krishnamurti, or Ramana Maharshi, Paramahansa Yogananda, or Sai Baba.Here's an example of what 'Maitreya's associate' conveys, which is an aspect of Maitreya's teachings: "All are trying to understand the truth. For this, mind, spirit and body must be disciplined. Everything then falls into the right perspective. If you say: "My way is right; what others experience is not right," you create destruction. People experience the Lord in different ways. Do not judge others. Judge situations and become aware, but remain detached."If you give that its due, I think you will find you are dealing with the highest teaching. And remember - these are 'the associate's' words, conveying Maitreya's teaching, filtered through the associate's experience and expression. However in-familiarly expressed - 'the Light shines through.' You will also find - throughout the book - Maitreya's words quoted directly.
