This book is a good resource if you want to understand the history and processes and politics behind U.S. health care policy. Its useful when you have to write papers about processes rather than about the policies themselves since some of these do change from time to time. It is useful in that it presents much of the information in one place so you don't have to go searching all over the place for it. But, if you don't mind spending the time you can research and obtain this same information for free online.
This has up-to-date information and is easy to navigate. It met my needs during the course. I was able to use it for reference throughout the course.
I need this book for a graduate class and the information is very through; great wealth of information and easy to understand.
It is a very comprehensive coverage of the government and how laws are made and the impact on the health care system.
Had to purchase for a nursing class, not what I would like to read for fun but it works for class.
IF you are already into politics, this is a waste of your time
