I have this book and refer to it constantly. It is very informative and concise in presentation. I am a new Case Manager and need direction and knowledge. This book certainly does both. It is a must have for any Case Manager whether in the Acute setting, Managed Care or insurance setting. Janet RN CM
CASE MANAGEMENT, A Practical Guide for Education and Practice is a well rounded reading experience that can assist with preparation for the CCMC. There are 11 Chapters with questions for each chapter at the end of the book. The only draw back is the required fee for sending the questions and answers to Lippincott for the test score. If however, your intention is to obtain the required CEU for Case Management, it would be a reasonable investment.
This is like a bible for case managers. I keep it as a handy reference at my desk. Excellent for review of principles of practice.
I have not quite finished reading the entire book, not exactly light reading when trying to actually learn from all the information; however the information in the book is extremely helpful. The way the book is composed allows for information to flow in a logical and orderly manner and offers critical information which would be useful to anyone interested in entering the case management arena or as an update for those already practicing. I am thrilled with this purchase.
This is an awesome book with lots of good information regarding case management and would highly recommend it to anyone just starting out in case management as it is very informative and contains a lot of info on the subject. Great to keep around for reference also!
This book is perfect to prepare for the CCM exam...so much of what it contains was in the exam (which I passed, by the way, on the first try)! Highly recommended!!
This book is a must for anyone serious about case management. There is so much information and it can become overwhelming to begin reading the book but the book is a must have resource to have for future references. Plenty of case studies and review.
