As an English teacher, my expertise is with MLA style, so I turned to The World's Easiest Guide to Using the APA when a psychology student asked me for help with his paper. The book is very clear, with a fine index. I heartily recommend it to teachers and students.
Although this book is handy in its step by step instructions for some of the reference types out there, I found myself having to do additional searches online for how-to information on citing sources. And in using the index, I found that some of the page numbers were inaccurate! This book is helpful in the most basic ways, but not complete. It seems to beat to death some reference sources, and completely neglects other types! Annoying.
The best purchase I have made toward school that I have made yet. It has helped me a lot specially since I have been out of school for 16yrs
