Well laid out and very complete. Easy to use and concise.Unfortunately i didn't notice that it was for eastern US, and i'm on the west coast, but there's still a great deal of cross coverage so i've managed to make use of it anyhow. I will be buying the pacific coast version of this book as soon as i find it.
This guide is perfect for basic flower id. The one con I have found is that the plant must actually have the flower on it in order to id it. This can be troublesome if you are trying to key out a plant in the forest that is past bloom or pre-bloom.
It's a small book, good for carrying with you on hikes. It's very informative. It has helped me a lot, on my ventures. With Articulate descriptionsOn what to look for. I really have enjoyed this book.
This is a great guide. It's easy to use and it's really nice that it fits in the pocket so well. The only things I wish were included were color descriptions on all floweres and measurements. Otherwise, I love it.
These pocket books are great to carry with you on walks where you want to identify plants you see and like (or don't!)
I'm very pleased with this book. The plants are organized by family, which is an excellent way to learn about plants.
A great size to put in your day pack. I wish the print was larger. Very informative with a number of diagrams.
The format is a bit confusing and a little difficult to adjust to (as I find sketches are not particularly easy to match to actual flora), however, I believe we will adjust and make good use of this compact and economical guide.
