It is the best and most up to date book on plant pathology. It is the bible of plant pathology. It looks into life cycles, symptoms, history and control of diseases. It is mainly concerned with diseases caused by fungi but also looks at diseases caused by bacteria or nematodes. It is an excellent book in that it covers different aspects of plant pathology and all the information are up to date.
Plant Pathology by George N. Agrios covers the most important aspects of this science. In my opinion, besides the good information, the disease cycles are very illustrative. I am sure that it will continue to be the most important book in Plant Pathology worldwide.
You have to be a plank geek to enjoy this book. If you have the option get it in hardback not the e-book. This is a great reference book for anyone who works with plants. Extension agents, professional garden centers and novice gardeners need to have this book on hand. Easy to read, follow and understand.
