Based on the life of her mother...this is a charming, warm, and uplifting book. You can sense the heart of the author and experience the heart of her mother! A must read for people who want to relax and enjoy a heartwarming story!

This is a great Historical-Fiction Christian novel! Hill has a C.S. Lewis-like writing style and effectively uses humor to engage the reader. My only complaint is that I was left wanting more details about events and characters at the end of every chapter. I am looking forward to Marjorie Hill's next book.

Delightful. This book at first actually reminded me of Anne of Green Gables, but with an ending entirely unique. :)
