Keep in mind that this is a foldout pamphlet. That being said, the information is limited as to the amount of plants and the quality of the drawings. This is not meant to replace a guide book, rather, it is a cheat sheet for in the field. Buy a good book for home, read it, study it, but leave it at home and carry this pamphlet. The waterproof coating is a nice touch. I keep this one and all the others in my EDC bag. They don't take up much room, but are very handy to have in the field.
This compact, portable laminated pamphlet contains delicate drawings of common plants and trees that were traditionally used for medicinal usage. It is easy to use, with simple, yet detailed, descriptions of the plant, a note on its habitat and a brief line on it's medicinal usage. This is a nice reference for anyone interested in early remedies or simply interested in possible medicinal usage of common, widespread plants.
I have already carried this outside w/ me to help identify plants I do not normally harvest. If I think I have correctly identified one I take a small piece and take it to the herbalist a few miles away to make sure the guide and I are correct.
Always study medicinal plants from a field guide or better yet, holistic practitioner. many plants have multiple uses and depending on the plant some parts are helpful and others are harmful. This is a good quick reference but is by no means a definitive guide.
Purchased a few different versions of these for my hunting pack just as a lightweight throw in in case of emergency. The lamination should make ti last quite a while and all have very good relevant info.
Well worth the money. I got a series for my daughter's emergency bag which she carries in her car for trips home from school. The size and durability are added benefits. I personally prefer more pictures and less writing.
Good pictures and short to the point descriptions considering it is a pocket guide. It is like a small fold out map but it made with thin laminated paper so that a little water wont hurt it. There are books with much more information as well as small guides that are more localized rather than to all of North America but this is a good compromise. I have it in my "bug out bag."

OR, TO IDENTIFY/ LEARN ABOUT/START YOUR RESEARCH ON A PARTICULAR PLANT, ALSO FOLDED NICELY TO OPEN OUT TO FULL SIZE, VIRTUALLY WEIGHTLESS, AND EASILY PACKABLE.EDUCATIONAL, CONVENIENT, WELL DONE AT A LOW PRICE. IMPERMEABLE TO WATER AND STAINS, PLASTICIZED SO WIPES CLEAN. REALLY GREAT! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
