Nice book. Was required and it has an access code... However, our professor doesn't use the online supplement. I feel we pay more for that code with the book. However, it's not the sellers fault we don't use it online.
This is a book that I needed for Advance College writing, it is small and light which is good when you are having to cart it around. The book has helped me already in another class with a citation style that I had no clue how to do.
I was required to purchase this book for my English class, it is actually one of the better English books in my opinion. The book is very well organized and laid out nicely so it is simple to navigate and takes no time to look up information. It is written clearly so you have no issues understanding anything at all. Great English book one of the best I have used.
I didn't think this book had enough detailed information on each of the topics. A big chunk of the book seems useless, like explaining how to make a difference in the world. It explains a subject as simply as possible without a ton of examples or really good references. I had to search online for a lot of supplemental information. I also tried to use the online content but it wasn't easy to figure out, nor did I have the time to figure it out. The citation information was somewhat useful, but didn't explain in an easy to understand way.
I have the Third-Edition spiral bound version of this, which I bought for a freshman english class in 2007. It is now 2016 and I find this book indispensable. I am back in school again, writing papers that need to be properly formatted and set up, and this book is super easy to move through and find the right way to do things. There is a limit to what you can put in a little half sized spiral bound book, and after that limit is reached you need to go to google, but I find this easy for what it has to offer.
I bought this book in the eBook version, but was unable to locate the online access code, which is required for my course, I returned it for a refund, which is too bad - it would have been nice to have this as an eBook.I did look through the book a little, and it looked pretty interesting, from just skimming through it.
Purchased as a required textbook for a Persuasive Writing class, it is a wonderful little book, very well organized, and will be very helpful with this class.
Easy to use. Great when switching between MLA and APA for different college courses.
