Another great read by Elodie Nowodazkij!!! This book is setting you up for another one.. so grab yourself and copy and get ready to see where you set off too! Another easy to escape from reality read!*received for an honest review*

This is the prequel novelette to the book One, Two, Three. It is only 1 hour and 16 minutes long which is as it should be for being a prequel and a novelette. Having read the book I enjoyed getting to listen to it as well. I especially liked it because the book is in first person and when you read it you hear it in a certain way in your head but to me it's even better hearing it in I guess you could say the characters voice. One thing I didn't like was the reader's voice was very monotone especially at the beginning and a few time during the narrative. No spoilers but while this may be appropriate for some parts of the novelette I felt that there should be more emotion in the voice during the reading. I didn't really feel that emotion that I had felt when reading and that was kind of disappointing. But overall this is a great novelette and a great prequel to One, Two, Three. I received this audio book courtesy of the author.

Having already read the book this novelette sets up, I was familiar with the characters and I loved getting a glimpse into Natalya's life at school. The alternating timeline was done well and there was so much intensity to the story, from Natalya's dance audition to her interactions with her family. The ending provided a smooth transition to the novel ONE, TWO, THREE.

I was lucky enough to win a copy of this book, and I'm so glad I did because it's a short but fantastic read! I've already read the book which follows this one, ONE...TWO...THREE, and can honestly say that I found this one even better. This novella was written after the first book, but that doesn't make it an after-thought. Although some books written like this often feel as if they're the authors way of stacking up a series, ONE DREAM ONLY not only explains the events leading up to the first book but bring depth and understanding which enriches the entire story. I gained a much better insight into Natalya's character and even though I've already read the continuation of her story, sympathize with her more than before.I was especially impressed with the way the book is put together. The chapters don't follow a chronological order but jump back and forth around the day of the big accident. The author managed to make this time shifting not only easy to follow (it's exactly stated at the beginning of the chapter) but arranged them in a way that brought tension and emotions to their peek. It was a sheer joy to read.Emotions and depth are one of the best parts of this series, and especially this book. I had no trouble being pulled into Natalya's world, fevered for her auditions, felt her confusion, and wished hope would turn out to be more than a light at the end of the tunnel. Her story pulls at the heart strings and the characters around her help create a believable world. But even when the world crumbles around her, it's great to see Natalya's strength (and weaknesses).I definitely can recommend this, either before or after reading book one...or even as a read on its own. It's length makes it easy to read in less than an hour, but it leaves the reader craving for more.

This is well-written glimpse of the story to come. I enjoyed the characters and am ready to read the full story of what comes next. One Dream Only is the sad prequel to Ms. Nowodazkij's book One, Two, Three. Natalya's dreams are smashed with one accident. Will she ever be able to realize her dreams? will she and her mother overcome what haunts them?I've rated this with only 3 stars solely because it is so short and is not a full story. However, it is well-written and edited. I found several things I liked within the story. The chapters are short and sweet. To start with the story alternates between present day and the past. I found this to work well for the story.I will definitely be going on to the first book in the series!
