I bought this book prior to an eight day trip to Montana, specifically to photograph wildlife in the National Bison Range. I had been there a couple of times in the past, but this time I came equieped to photograph the animals! We made 8 trips through the range at various times of the day during our vist to the area. The book was very helpful in planning those trips and the short hikes availabe in the range. Plus it is full of beautiful photographs for inspiration. The loop road through the range (a one way trip) on a dirt road was different every time we made the trip. We saw so much wildlife we captured over 1700 images. 160 miles travel on a dirt road seems like a lot, but it was well worth it! I highly recommend this book for anyone interested in visiting the National Bison Range as well as those who are simply interrested in a great book about a great place, and a hugely successful conservation effort.
