I'm taking courses at an on-line college and we use e-books, I wanted to have the physical book to be able to flip through the pages to find the information for coding faster. Although this is a big volume and heavy it is worth the purchase to have.

I'm used to using Ingenix books. This year, the hospital I work at purchased this edition of the ICD-9-CM coding book. And while I find it informative and easy to read, the book feels like it weighs 10 lbs! I'd have to say that would be one of my few complaints about the book. With its heaviness and thick pages, I would have preferred cut out guides along the edges for easier navigation of the book, much like CPT books. But the color coding is helpful, and the extra anatomy section is very detailed, for those who need to use it. Plus, the price of this book makes it an almost obvious choice over the other coding books.

I am taking an online coding class and ordered this book. Once I got it and started the class I realized it wasn't what I need because it isn't tabbed or color-coded, which makes it a bit tougher for a beginner. I tabbed it myself but I'm going to look for one that's color-coded. And the page numbers are different than what the online instructor refers to. If you are experienced it will be fine and the price is right!

I had moved to Dallas from Phoenix and left all my books back home. I never took my CPC certification and needed my books to review in preparation for the certification. In searching for the books elsewhere I found most of what I needed in .com.The prices were more than reasonable and delivered quickly. The quality of the books was incredible. I am greatful.

The level of the ICD-9 CM 2010 edition I purchased is very high and has a lot of information not normally included in the basic ICD-9 manual. As a result of the multiple additional information details teaching a student how to code becomes easier to do. The details presented assist the learning process because the student has more information available about the individual medical codes, their application and the differences between items that may be closely associated but will be incorrect if chosen.Carol Buck's organizing level for the purpose of learning or using medical codes has a history of being outstanding.

This booked shipped in less time than I anticipated in perfect condition and cheaper than @the bookstore! But this particular book is NOT color coded so it's harder to use if you don't tabbed it up yourself.

just what I was looking for---I am an instructor and my students needed some books to practice with...the condition was just as stated and shipped right away---anazon came thru again

The text book is in above average condition as well as an extra bonus of tabs added by previous owner. This will help so much when I begin my course for Medical Billing & Coding.
