I bought the book to learn more about prospective payment systems (inpatient and outpatient). I cannot believe that the publisher does not provide answers to the exercises. How am I supposed to know if my answers are correct or wrong? This book is not suitable for self-study.

I just finished a health information technology associates program and I can tell you that this book provides an excellent overview of hospital billing in an understandable way. I think this book ties everything together. Although it is not technical in nature, as far as going into coding training in depth, it does provide a well-thought out organized presentation of the whole process of the patient encounter. Highly recommend this book!

This book is exactly what I was looking for as a new coder in a provider based hospital system. It covers so much material! I especially appreciate the information on NCCI edits. Much of this information I have had to learn on the job and I really wish I would have had more of this in school. This book serves as a nice reference to clarfiy what I am learning now.

Hospital billing can be a hard subject to master, but great books like make the road to understanding so much easier. With this book and a good MS-DRG Code reference 2012 DRG Code Reference (Diagnosis-Related Groups) you'll be coding like a pro in no time.

I was looking for detail on hospital revenue codes. It did give lots of good information (in general) for hospitals. It just didn't get into specifics regarding codes for Part A.

great service, was happy with the job they have done, quick mailing off, was satified with there service, good book.

I thought this was an excellent overview of hospital billing and coding. I enjoyed it.

needed this book for class saved a lot of money renting this book...great deal
