I count on Carol J Buck to provide outstanding study materials because I had never been disappointed. After using this book and CD I have to say I am disappointed. The book is o.k. but not as well organized or user friendly as previous and I absolutely hate the CD. It is ridiculous not to be able to check your work (pretest) and try again. Once you submit the pretest your locked out from taking this again. That is not how I study. I prefer to be able to retest over individual sections and be scored as I progress. The 2005 study guide was far superior.

Needed this book for class, and bought the workbook as well. This is very explanatory and takes you step by step through the coding process. Since we are still working with ICD-9-CM, there was no need for me to spend the extra money for a newer version. The concepts taught are still the same.

This book is a really great followup to the other books by this author. As indicated in the title, it tells what comes next after you have a basic knowledge of medical billing and coding. I would definitely recommend this title!

We have been using this book for the last 6 weeks in our class. It was recommended by the teacher, due to the informationin each chapter, explaining different procedures, showing photos, and also because of the partial answers in the back of thebook. We are able to try to get thru the chapter, then check our answers. If wrong, we can see the correct answers, and findwhy it was wrong. This is very important in the learning process when you only have one class per week and need to get chapterscompleted before the next class.

I bought this book for class. Got a great price and it was brand new. The author makes reading and learning this subject easier than others would have

I like how thorough Carol Buck's books are. She gives you a bang for your buck and lots of resources.

I knew going in that this book was a year old, but even with that it was good source of information.
