We were looking for a good textbook to use in our new online medical terminology and anatomy course at codingcertification.org then this book came out. It is the only one I know of that is designed for medical coders. I love teaching using this book it really pulls things together. Even for very new students that don't know the details of medical coding yet it gives them a preview into what they will be learning in their coding course later. I highly recommend this text.

Great study tool for learning and reviewing ICD-10 coding. I've searched other resources and this is the best I've found. Good breakdown of terminology.Lessons are sequenced for clearer understanding.

Great textbook to prepare certified coders in acquiring medical terminology and anatomy and physiology knowledge necessary for using ICD-10 codes. This text will be used in a Med Term/A&P class being created for local technology center.

this will help with my students getting rerady for this transition for next years big push. It will help y instructors as well.

Fantastic book, as it relates to ICD 10. Author did a fantastic job of clearly and directly explaining what to watch out for and the various Latin root words. Would definitely recommend this book to any one preparing for the ICD 10 changes. If you don't understand anatomy it will be impossible to correctly code. Ms. Shiland hit this one out of the park

Thank you very much. I'm glad to have this book. I learn lots of new medical terms. And this book will be very helpful when I start working as a medical coder. Thank you so much.

I wish I would have been able to have used this book for the class, I bought this as a refresher and I couldn't believe how nice it was to go with the medical coding classes. Great purchase and worth the money.

This book is a great resource. It gives a complete review of medical terminology and prepares you for the level of detail and specificity that ICD-10 will bring.Plus, the online resources are educational and amusing. Whacking the medical terminology mole when he sticks his tongue out at you for getting a wrong answer is a great stress reliever.
