I'm a TOEFL teacher and this is the best material for TOEFL practice. I highly recommend it for those who just want to practice. The only drawback is that there is no CD ROM - only an audio CD. This book would be a great complement to the Official Guide to the TOEFL Test With CD-ROM, 4th Edition (Official Guide to the Toefl Ibt)
This book is very good and i don't have any complains with the the format of the book. In fact, I am very happy with the quality of the questions provided. The only problem that bothered me was the CD sent along with this book. I am very upset because it stopped working after few days of the purchase. Now, I am not being able to do the exercises of listening, speaking and writing. It would be really great of the seller, if they could send me an another CD because without a proper functioning CD, my purchase is a total waste and with the exams coming near, I am not being able to continue my practice.
It would have been better if all 5 tests could work on the computer as is the real toefl IBTtest.
Official Guide to the TOEFL Test With CD-ROM gives you three real exam on CD. I thought this book has the same format in the CD. I am very disappointed that you need to take the exams on the book not on the CD.This is unbelievable and unacceptable. It shouldn't be difficult to prepare a test program and put these 5 tests into the CD for real testing experience.
Not really happy with the book. ETS is extremely lazy, so they do not provide real level of the TOEFL test. Thus, if you prepare only using this book, be ready that the real test will be much harder!Also there are no time limits for each section, especially for listening, and no CD with a computer version of the test, so you have to guess what time you will be allowed to answer test questions.
100% great book to prepare for the TOEFLiBT. Tips are awesome. Just do all five tests, and you will definitely get great score. Use this book with Official Guide to the Toefl ibt, then you will not reqire any other material or advise to prepare the test. I am fully satisfied. Flawless material.
Our foreign exchange student took the exam & got a 63 on her initial exam. After using the study guide she received a total score of 80! An amazing feat for a 15 year old senior who speaks 4 languages & is preparing for college. Worth every penny!
The test helps provide my student with the necessary skills to do well on the exam. Personally I am glad to see vocabulary being tested in context and not having to memorize lists of words. My student has been working on the listening part of the exam. I have been seeing improvement with his scores in both the reading and listening part. The questions on the exam for writing look very much like those found on the SAT. I just wish there were more tests for practice.
