It's handy for general knowledge about what the para educator test entails and has a practice test (maybe more than one) that enables one to see where one stands with simple English and Math. There are A LOT of mistakes in this book. Nothing critical, but this book suffers from a lack of proofreading. If you need to take the test, I'd recommend this book -- if the price is right.
I was able to pass the test with no problem, the cd was well worth the price of the book, along with test taking tips.

Nothing in the book was on the test in Texas! I studied this book from cover to cover and nothing in this book was covered on the test in Texas. If you’re from Texas you would do better just going to the classes. There were also many errors in this book. This book desperately needs a proof reader!!
So pleased I purchased this book. It has everything you need to study. The practiced testes were very helpful. Helped me get ready for and pass my exam. Definitely recommend!!
Great book ! There are a lot of pratice tests and quizes so you know what you need to work on and if you are ready or the test. I did find one error in the book but its easy to find the correct answer anyhow :)
This book, along with the online book available through the library was great. I noticed several mistakes in the question and answer sections that could be confusing. Being able to read a booklet is easier than online.
I bought this book to study for the parapro assessment test. It was very helpful as I have been out of school for over 30 yrs.
