This brand-new set of more 408flash cards will help nursing students succeed on the National Council Licensure Examination, which certifies them as registered nurses. The cards are divided into two categories: 300 cards identify medications and their uses; and 100 cards present questions typical of those found on recent NCLEX-RN exams. Each medication card names a medication on the front and lists its uses, how it is administered, and its side effects on the back. The 100 test question cards present answers on their reverse side and cover topics that include safe care and environment, safety and infection control, health promotion and maintenance, and other subjects that nursing students will encounter when they take the exam. Each card has a small punch hole in one corner that accommodates an enclosed metal ring students can use to select and rearranged cards to fit their study needs.

These cards are VERY basic IMO . I needed to know a lot more than what was included on these flash cards for exams. I ended up writing a bunch of extra notes on my cards. The ring is a nice feature it made carrying around classifications easy . I would purchase these again, it did help me to organize myself better.I passed these along to my cousin who is now in nursing school and she loves them.
I have found as an instructor that some flash cards have too much information on them. Barron's has just enough of the right information for students.
I really hate that these cards don't have an index. If you want a particular drug and are looking for it by the generic name then you have to spend a lot of time going through the box to find the correct one. A lot of the "50 most common drugs seen on NCLEX" aren't even in the box. I made my own notes on the back of each card because they lack information. My advise is don't waste your money if you are using this for the NCLEX.
I don't recommend these cards. They don't contain many of the most commonly used meds. There's no Table of Contents Card or Index Card. The cards are not numbered or anything. I had to dig through all the cards just to find a card I needed. I got rid of them. Waste of money.
These flashcards seem to include a lot of information on each card about each drug. Some common drugs did not include a card (i.e. Bethanechol, Secobarbital, Cognex, etc.) You have to make up your own cards for each one not included. The cards, unlike some other brands, do not include an index of every drug card listed within the pack, and each card is NOT numbered according to the index. This deck does not index, nor does it number, each card. This for me was essential because I needed to pull certain cards out of the deck, but would have to search through the entire deck, one-by-one, until I found the specific drug. (IF it was even in the deck at all). I rated it a 4/5 because it is helpful (I am an RN student, early in my training so far). The cards cover info that I need to study, so it definitely is worth the investment. I wish they included a CD or other resources which would set them apart from other company's cards. Or it would be helpful if the company were to include a .pdf or .docx template to make cards on your own and have them printed on heavy cardstock paper to match the original paper weight used.I could have gone with other brands, but this was in my price range. Overall, good investment
I like these cards. Only reason why I gave it 4 stars was because they are a bit delicate so you have to be careful with them. The shipper also sucked. He actually sent this package in a Bill's Barbeque paper bag and put cheap tape around it. Product itself is good though.
These cards seem to be very informative, and they come in a very nice box to keep them straight. They even have a key ring to hold them for you if you want to put them in a bag. They are, however, only for pharmacology questions. Three hundred of them are medication cards and one hundred are q&a nclex-style questions about medications.
I got these later then I expected due to an issue I had with UPS but in my car on my way to take my pharm HESI I reviewed some and in the parking lot a few minutes before. I made a full 20 points higher than I did on the practice exams at home. I would definitely recommend if you need help in pharm.
