The photos are good and the explanations are easy to understand. However, there is a serious error in fossil identification. Favosites is not a bryozan but rather a tabulate coral. This is a common coral so it is hard to see how this error could occur.
This is well written and interesting book about fossils in Michigan and a good overview of the topic in general. The photos were helpful in identifying marine fossils. I would recommend the book to anyone interested in finding fossils, even outside of Michiagan.

This should be on the bookshelf at every Great Lakes cottage.
