The Economics Of The Environment

The Economics of the Environment completely integrates economics and environmental issues, explaining how both market successes and failures affect the environment. This text also shows readers how to measure the value of environmental goods, the use of these measurements in weighing environmental costs against the benefits of economic activity, and the implementation of policies to correct market failures.

I took introduction to environmental economics with Professor Peter Berck at UC Berkeley and I found the subject to be surprisingly interesting, despite the fact that I don't like economics all that much.Topics in the book had good examples and were explained in such a way that was easy to understand and remember.

My university's book store was trying to sell me this book for almost $200.00 and I thought that was incredibly outrageous. Even to rent it was pretty high up there. So I was very happy when I found out I could rent this book through at a low price, and give back the book I will not need later on. I personally rent general education course's books, and buy new books for my major, to have a reference. I hate gen eds, and the price for some of the books were more expensive than the ones I needed for my major, so the reasonable price to rent it here made me hate gen eds a little less. :)The book is like-new condition, and I would recommend renting this to anyone who might need to buy this book for a gen ed.However, if your interest is in Economics, and if you like doing things like writing notes in a book you would have to buy a new copy of this book.

great content, accessible, so expensive and heavy, so fancy for a textbook, i really find it helpful for environmental economics class

This book has been really helpful for my environmental econ class. It wasn't in perfect shape but that doesn't matter at all - all that matters is that all the pages are there and you can read the words. In great shape for a used book.

Provides a good breakdown and understanding of Environmental Economics.
