Professor consider this the 'gold standard' for introductory environmental economics. I've worked in the field for 5 years and am currently completing a second masters. The book should be called Marginal Environmental & Natural Resource economics because 'marginal' is used so often I started questioning what the word meant. It's almost like the author is paid by the word. You really need to focus on the book to understand the content. Figures in many places were not entirely clear. Still, if you need the book, you need the book.

This book was bought as a textbook for a graduate level Economics class focusing on the environment. That being said, I find it hard to say I "love" a college textbook, but this is about as close as I'll ever come to that. The writing in this book is surprisingly simplistic for a higher-level class, and nothing is increasingly overwhelming in terms of technical language.Great for people who know a lot about Economics, but little about the environment.

this textbook is currently adopted by the Environmental Economics course at my University (University of Roma Tre). I am a student and as far as my knowledge can go, this is the most complete, thorough and yet accessible book on the matter. there is no real need to own previous economics notions (but raccomended for a more agile reading).

It's a text book

It is like a brand new book, except the cover. That's why I give 4 stars.

This really covered all aspects of environmental economics and will be a great resource even after my class has finished. Won't be selling this one back.

This is the same text as the US hardcover edition, ISBN-10: 0131392573, other than the cover and some formatting. The textbook itself is mostly worthless, but hey if its required for a class, buy this edition and don't be ripped off as much by the publishers.

The book is as described. It arrived on time and is wrapped properly. I am very satisfied of the product.
