I received this product, EMT Basic Exam Textbook: EMT-B Test Study guide book & practice questions by EMT-B Test Prep Team. First off I want to say that this book has been very helpful. I am currently an emergency medical responder who is looking into taking an EMT basic class to better myself. I am in nursing school and eventually want to get my paramedic. I have looked through this book and it seems to cover all the topics that the National registry of emergency medical technicians test will cover for an emt basic course. This book seems to be very good for anyone who does not necessarily any medical experience or background. It is very simple and laid out with easy language and clarity. There is several sections in the book but that last one is a practice test compose of many different types of questions. This book seems to give a decent amount of rationales for each thing that it covers. Unlike many books, it is not only a review but also a great teaching and studying book. All the information seems to be correct and up to date. I really love that it has a detailed rationale for each question because it helps so much knowing why you missed this question and knowing where you went wrong so you can go back and look over or restudy that section. This book also gives you some test taking strategies that may help some people who are not used to test or not so fresh out of high school or college. I would recommend this book to anyone who is in or plans to take the EMT-B course regardless of whether or not this book is required. It has so much helpful information that is broken down into easy segments to study. You will not be able to find a more helpful book for this price. If you just need a refresher on some things, this would also be a good option because you do not have to read every section.
