I purchased this for my rising third grade child to battle the summer slide. She needs a lot of repetition, particularly with reading. While the price is great, it is very short. We were able to go through it rather quickly. We will keep reviewing the words but I would have liked more content.
My girls love these scholastic books. What better way to help them continue to learn than learning while having fun. The stuff in this book is great. My only disappointment is that this book is a bit thin compared to the other scholastic books like this I have bought. Overall, for the price and money, it's an OK buy.
This was the ideal accompaniment to other reading concepts that I used to introduce my daughter to 3 grade words, building on the words she knew form 2nd grade
I am using this as a guide to help my son with reading and comprehension. 3rd grade has been a challenge for us and every little bit helps.
This wasn't what I expected, but it does the job. You will finish it in no time, but you can keep going over it till the child gets the words down. I like it and the kids enjoy reading it so that's good. Great words for the kids to learn how to read if they are having trouble reading.
Great book for my ESL tutee. He likes to read so this book will enhance his vocabulary. He is very motivated and is very intelligent. He is an extrovert and very eager to know each book I give him inside and out.
This is my third purchase of a 100 Words Kids Need to Read.I love the extra practice my twins receive from this book.They enjoy working outside of school and I love the fact that I am encouraging them to become better readers.As a teacher, I recommend this to any parent who is looking to help their child be more successful in school or is looking for extra practice over the summer and on extended breaks.
This is a very direct description of the 100 words my grandson needs by the time he is in the third grade. We make all types of games so that the words easily become a part of his vocabulary.
