I had to purchase this for class and it is almost sad how stupid these labs are. Some of them you can do in your head or with the background information given but some you need high powered lasers for. I don't like this lab manual.
I used this book for a Physics course last semester. I found the book to be somewhat ambigous when explaining things such as significant digits. A few more examples could have been used. However, the book fulfills it's purpose. When used in conjunction with labs, the excercises in the book give a student the experience he/she needs to understand the way a scientist must go about collecting data.
Everything seemed great with the textbook until class started and began lab. I noticed a few pages(important pages) from several chapters were missing. By then, it was too late to ask for a refund. The review mentioned nothing of missing pages being that the book was used. I assumed the seller is supposed to be trusted and let buyers know what they're getting. I'll be sure and check before deadline from now on. :(
Text book was needed for school, but I was frustrated when I found multiple pages that I needed missing for specific labs.
There were pages missing that was not mentioned when I bought this manual. Absolute disappointment.
