Hi my name is Jessica and the Left Behind series is a detailed fiction story based loosely based on what the Bible says about the Apoxalipse(?) The books tell of four individuals who have to survive in a world where Atheists reign. It is a horrible existance where criminals are revered. If you aren't Christian, it is unlikly that you be interested in what the books are about because you probable will want to critize everythhing in the books, but if you are open to different religious beliefs (like me) you will probably find it interesting and informative. I recommand giving the books a try.
The big part of this one is near the end when the demonic locusts come and sting people. It seems a little strange that the whole book was named after it, especially since this plague is continued well into the next book. This is one of several plagues that is actually covered significantly better than in the main series. The demonic locusts are possibly the most interesting plague of the tribulation, and the main series only covers it briefly, whereas the kids series covers it quite well. Itâs very exciting and interesting. The authors utilize this plague quite well to create some very interesting stories. Other parts of the book are quite good too.
I really liked these books because it is a great way to explain the Rapture. This author, Jerry B. Jenkins and Tim LaHaye, did a great job recreating Revelations to help you understand it better. I know I understand what is going to happen after the Rapture and would help others as well. I would really only recommend these books for people who can understand a bunch of things going on at the same time. Also you have to be in to the end times to like the beginning. So I would say this is one of the best books I have ever read. These books really got me reading I used to never read before(very rarely)but these books really changed that.
Im am reading this series for the second time and I love them! The first time through though I compared the bible verses to what said in the book to make sure the authors weren't just making stuff up. These books are very incitefull as to what is coming when Jesus raptures his church. Very scary stuff. This series is a must read for everyone Christian and nonchristian alike.
My 11 year old son has devoured these books. He absolutely loves them, and can't wait for me to order the next one in the series as soon as he finishes the one he is reading.The content is age appropriate. In fact, I would say that this series of books has enabled my son and I to open up a dialogue re: faith and Christianity.
i loved this book and read a sample of it before i bought it. i would not suggest reading it before the rest of the ones before it because you will not know what is going on but i loved this book and now i cannot wait to read the rest of the series. this is a must-read if you love this series.
