My grandson is starting to go camping with his Dad and he is a big nature lover. He loves the rivers, streams and ponds of the mountains and asks tons of questions about the wildlife that live there. The Eyewitness Pond and River book is excellent for young minds. Lot of pictures and descriptions. Even though my grandson is only 6, he enjoys the Eyewitness books immensely. A great educational book for inquiring minds.

I adore this book. It is mostly about British biomes, flora and fauna -- which is fine with me because I'm English -- but this being an American edition, there is also information that is suitable for them, particularly in the back where interesting places to visit are listed. Anyone with an interest in natural history will love this. It is a real 'happy' book, highly enjoyable.

My son loves these books with all the wonderful descriptions and pictures. He is only 7 so he cannot read them on his own but he still loves to read them with me at night before bed. I highly recommend these books to those who want a educational book that any child would enjoy.

Thought it would have had a bit more in real life pictures on pond life. Is ok but not real impressive.

I love these books. Had one when I was little, got this one for my son. So descriptive! And the pictures are beautiful.
