This is a great book for those interested in clinical epidemiology. It is very practical and contains lots of examples. At the end of each chapter, there are review/study questions. The book also has an access code which gives the buyer access to numerous questions for about 2 years. However, some of the questions in the book do not have the correct answer and there are many unclear review questions.I wish the authors included more information on mortality and morbidity. It is certainly an improvement over the 4th edition.Worth reading it!

This is a very useful short guide to the subject with excellent illustrations and examples. The authors are clearly good at teaching and know a great deal about evidence based medicine and epidemiology which is a very important part of medicine. My only criticism is that they don't mention David Eddy who is the father of evidence based medicine. Otherwise it is a great short book. For someone who knows nothing about epidemiology and is taking a class on it duri second year of medical school this book is helping me so much to understand basic epidemiological concepts. Tons of examples and calculations done to explain stuff. Everything is narratived that even a 12 year old can understand. Thank you for saving my rear : )
