For someone that has always been intimidated by math in general, this book is the bomb! It is a requirement for my nursing school, and it explains things and causes them to "stick" with me like nothing I've ever seen. Even if it isn't a requirement for you, and you worry about math, get this book! You will not be sorry!
I suck in math!!! I got this book bc its required for my rn program. Before starting the nursing program, I was so scared bc I suck in math & told us we have a dosage calculation test every semester we have to pass w a 90% or higher. This book literally goes step by step with great explanation, it has formula boxes with tips to remember in each chapter. There are plenty of practice questions. I got 100% on all my hw & I passed my dosage calculation exam with a 100%, hands down the best!!! Its worth it!!!!
This is an excellent book to learn from scratch or to refresh your memory, which is what I am using it for. It also comes with a subscription to an online company that will help you to practice your pharmacology math skills. This is in my opinion an excellent way to practice, as it tests you on what you need to know to do for medication administration in the field of nursing. I am pleased with this book and all it has to offer.
This is a great book to practice, I love that it shows how to go through the steps and explanations are very helpful..labels and problems are current, and with actual med labels. I'd jag several Nursing friends ask to see it.. Great resource
Wonderful book for helping to break down math for dosing. It can get repetitive, but practice makes perfect right!?! Tons of practice problems to make sure you get the concept. Passed my first semester math test with this book!
What I like about this is that it is detailed and shows me step by steps on how to do my work. I have no complaint at all. I recommend this for anyone going into nursing or any health related courses. This helps a lot!

I got the free trial and I am glad I didn't waste any money on this. The book has many small errors in just the beginning pages. Page 28/29 number 33 for example. Asks 0.9% of 24. That is 2.16 however the book lists it as 2.2. It would be correct if it had asked to round, but it has not. An earlier question regarding international time was off an increment of one hour for each answer.If you are looking for a book that was edited and vetted, this isn't it.
